Things That Will Change Your Life: TJ's Tartar Sauce.

There are products that you try that just change your life. Okay, that may be a bit bold. But I promise, it is not too far off in the case of some products...

I was never a tartar sauce snob until I met...

I am a HUGE seafood fan and this is my go-to when tartar is called for. At first I was hesitant to use it because I am a wimp on the spicy scale. However, it is not too spicy. Pretty mild/medium.

The sad thing is that only some Trader Joe's (TJs for short in my household) carry the product. They will all carry tartar sauce but not this version... The only complaint I have about TJ's is that their offerings change in different markets. Really friggin' annoying.

That being said, this is not available in any of the Chicago stores I have been to. It was available in all of the Southern California stores I have shopped at. (This jewel was brought to me by Madre and Papito when they came last week.)

Pair it with: TJ's Crab cakes or Whole Foods' Salmon Burgers, and TJ's 3-minute organic brown rice. Super healthy, yummy, and easy...

But here is a great giveaway!

I love Jules' product and I love all things monogram... My jewelry and coffee cup collection prove it :)

Holidaze!

I am not the one to literally laugh out loud at things. I smile a lot and I try to make people laugh but I am a tough crowd when it comes to getting me to crack up.

More importantly, I despise when people write "LOL" in any format.

But this website just KILLED me. I am not sure if it was beers or my tired state. Either way, this shit is classic...

25 Funniest Autocorrects of 2012

So click on the link above and start your holiday weekend right... Hell, odds are you are probably stuck in the airport anyways.

Here's to hoping you enjoy a few adult beverages this holiday weekend and drunk text your loved ones!

Now Is The Time For Change.

We can all sit here and talk about the cause, or the root of the problem. OR... We could start to take action and try to change things.

I think we can all agree that something has to change.

One Week!

I just realized that I posted about surgery yesterday but never told you guys (all 3 of you who may check this blog) what I had surgery for...

One week ago (on the 11th), I had surgery to repair a deviated septum. Truth. It was a deviated septum repair only - no cosmetic stuff performed. (I know a lot of people have deviated septums and come out with a perfect nose - mine is still as large as it was before.)

Want proof that I deviated my septum?

I am the third from the left. See how red the bridge of my nose is? It is not from consuming the large amounts of alcohol in front of me. That did occur later in the night, but was not the cause. (Barristers Ball as 3Ls = vass amounts of adult beverages with good law school friends.)

Earlier in the day, I had played in two soccer games. In the second game, an opposing player decided that my face was the best place to shoot in order to score.

She did not score.

My nose stopped the ball. Good defense on my nose's part. Bad news for any hopes of intaking oxygen through my right nostril.

Madre and Papito (mom and dad for all non-Spanish speakers) made the trek last week from warm SD to cold Chicago to take care of me and did an excellent job. I was working from home two days post-op, and now, one week later, I am able to sleep through the night without pain meds.

I am not 100%, but I am getting there. Looking forward to no more sinus infections and more oxygen...

Music Monday: Christmas Style.

This is going to be my first Christmas on my own, in a new city. (The first day I am eligible to fly post-surgery is Christmas and I have to be back in Chicago the next day for the first day of bar prep... Boo.)

That being said, I am not in a particularly Christmasy mood...

But I will always love this song.

It reminds me of Christmas time spent at best friend Missy's house when we were younger. We would listen to the entire album on repeat.

All I can say is Mariah can sing. She is a trip... but the girl can sing.

Merry one-week-to-Christmas!
